Had a good stay, the hotel is stunningly beautiful.
Everything was perfect, attentive staff, absolutely breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Wake-up service, available in my double room, was a nice bonus. The bed was comfortable; and there was a tub. The position was comfy, restaurants and bars are close to the hotel. The lunch in Mothership Meat Company close to the property had every choice imaginable.

The rooms are accommodating and cosy, and are complete with 2 queen beds, a fridge, for example. Its location is marvellous and stunning, not far from good cafes and restaurants, the lovely neighborhoods near the area, and the right subway line, nice area.
Views are awful.

There were a safe box, a writing table and a chair in the room, truly enjoyed that.

I had an amazing stay! The rooftop bar had the most stunning views of the skyline, and the made-to-order breakfast was delicious. The big room made it all worth it, even if the bathroom faucet was tricky.

The hotel was quite close to Manhattan, 13 min by metro to Times Square. It was clean, with a good restaurant, nice lobby, nice personnel, quite assisting in every issue, especially Vanja, but others as well, the food was very good (the Chinese cooker was very, very good, I am sorry I did not ask him about the name). The Wifi internet was very fast and free of charge, the room was comfortable, with nice beds and very nice bed linen, complimentary bottled mineral water (although not every day), and especially the view from our room of the Manhattan sky was magic, especially at night! I highly recommend this hotel, since it is an acceptable price and very close to Manhattan.
Nothing to complain.

- Quiet hotel in Long Island City. - Small grocery and laundromat near by. - Free internet in the room and access to a common PC with printer: very convenient to print e-tickets.
- The location in Long Island City, a little bit far from Manhattan if you don't have a car. But it is quite easy to get a cab, as well. - Nothing to do or see in the neighbourhood. - The room was quite small.

Location perfect, just a few blocks away from the subway to Manhattan. (Fifth Ave app. 15 minutes). Neighbourhood ok, still in development but even during the evening safe enought to walk from station to hotel. On short distance away (on Broadway) reasonable restaurants with a nice choice. Do not go to Uncle George's greek taverna (terrible food and terrible service). Hotel staff without exception extremely friendly and very much service minded. Breakfast a la carte from normal dishes and real metal forks and knives (great). Also for lunch and dinner the menu will suit many. Rooms are clean, of reasonable size and very well cleaned. The rooms have a bathroom with a real shower (+++++), you do not have to stand in the bath to shower. The rest of the services is good, a workout facility and quick working wifi throughout the hotel for free. There is even a very small shop to buy sweets etc and the atm only charges you $2,50 for a withdrawel (at most other banks this wat $3,00) In the shopping mall at Columbus Circle it is free!
The hot water in the shower could have been a bit hotter at times. It was never cold by the way but I like hot showers.

The bed was uncomfortable, with a noticeable sag, made it hard to sleep. The sheets had stains, giving me a feeling of uncleanliness that I couldn't shake off. When I tried to resolve an issue with my early departure, the front desk staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. It was not the experience I hoped for.

The hotel is reasonably close to downtown Manhatten (10-15 minutes by subway n or q) at $2.50 one way.The rooms are spacious by New York standards and my executive room had a great view of the downtown Manhatten skyline. The hotel is 30-50 minutes by taxi or car from jfk airport depending on the traffic. I went to New York during the UN General Assembly meeting and room rates everywhere on Manhatten were very expensive (averaging $350 - $1,000/night). My room at Four Points by comparion was $259 + taxes and far better quality than a lot of others that were on offer.
The only 'downside' is that there is no shopping nearby other than a small 7-11 type store, and the walk from / to the subway stations (39th Avenue or Queens Plaza) is about 10 minutes which is ok unless it is raining.

Highly Recommend for First Time Visitors
The rooftop bar was a highlight. I remember staring at the skyline, feeling on top of the world, that view. Plus, the staff were not just friendly, they genuinely cared. It was like they were all in this together.
It wasn't cheap, but honestly, it felt acceptable considering everything we got.

The front desk staffs were very helpful and informative. There is a balcony with a great view of nyc. It is non smoking. It is very relaxing. Perfect for short stays.
The only thing that i was not very happy about (very minor thing), my room was located at the end of the hall next to the linen closet or storage i think (this is not it, i dont mind having my room there) but when i went out of my door, the keeper saw me and she was about to go inside the linen closet. obviously, it would block my way if she opened it, but she opened it anyway (all the way that it blocks off my path). I just thought it was kind of rude that she already saw me and didn't let me go first before she opened the closet door. I had to squish myself out pushing the closet door a little bit so i don't close her in. Minor stuff! But my stay was super!

I normally stay at 4-5 star hotels in nyc, albeit paying triple the price during the holiday's to be in Manhattan was ridiculous! This hotel is one stop outside Manhattan, 2 blocks from the subway, very courteous staff, free WiFi, new hotel, breakfast and bar and the neighborhood was completely safe. Lic is building up fast and in 2 years, it will be a top spot to stay. The hotel also works with a local car service company and the cars and staff are very good. It was just $28 to jfk. It would be $50 if you were inside Manhattan.
The room doors were loud when they were shut. At 5am I woke up due to the click of the neighbor's door.
